Joining MADRE’s Board

I’m so excited to be joining the Board of MADRE, an organization I have long admired. MADRE provides critical funding and support to women human rights defenders working in communities facing war and disaster.

Leading the Children's Rights Innovation Fund

The Children’s Rights Innovation Fund (CRIF) – an initiative, seeded by Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, focused on experimentation and shared learning alongside movement leaders, youth-centered organizations, and children’s rights activists towards a more just world. CRIF is an opportunity to radically re-imagine a children’s rights movement that both meets the urgency of this moment; while moving together towards a stronger field grounded in the dreams, visions, lived experiences, and leadership of Black, Brown & Indigenous youth activists.

Joining the Board of Purposeful

I am excited to co-conspire with the brilliant folks at Purposeful. Purposeful is a feminist movement-building hub for adolescent girls that amplifies girls’ voices, resource their resistance, build solidarity between and across girls’ movements, catalyzes collaborative philanthropy and support innovation in grassroots programming with and for girls.

Joining the Board of The Lighthouse | Black Girl Projects

As a long-time admirer of their work, I am honored to join the Board of Directors of The Lighthouse | Black Girl Projects. The Lighthouse takes a holistic approach to the leadership development of Black girls and women through a consortium of projects. These projects are avenues by which Black girls in the southeastern United States are centered, from the research agenda to the programming, board room to legislative halls. The organization creates safe spaces for these Black girls with the goal of having their homes and communities places where their safety and freedom are welcomed.
